Hydrangea serrata ‘Preziosa’

Flowering now in the Old Garden. This chap is splendid; dark stems and foliage plus flowers that intensify in colour as they age!

Dear Bertie,
I am so happy to discover your blog ! I have just visiter this beautiful garden and I am looking for a species precision : do you know if the Hydrangea at the bottom of Mrs Winthrop's garden stairs, along the Stream, are 'Anabelle' or arborescens 'Grandiflora', or another one?
Your work is absolutely beautiful.
So frustrating no to see the species though... I guess this is not in the Major initial spirit...
Talk to you soon and congratulations for this great blog !
Gabriel
